4. “Intermezzo
for days without Domestic Violence”, composer: Makoto Nomura [note2]
〓Explanation of this music piece〓
Kusayanagi, a clinical psychologist, thought of the necessity of the music
for rooting DV out, while working and broadening his activities. In order
to realize this idea, and intending to play
it by himself, he asked Makoto Nomura to compose a piano piece in 2001. The meaning of this piece is music that won`t stop playing until DV ends,
and paradoxically he hopes this piece won`t be played any longer. After
first performance of the composer, Kusayanagi has played this piece at symposiums or events not only in Japan, but also
in Korea and China. This piece has attracted
pianists from other counties, for instance, the UK, Malaysia, etc., and they
chose it in their concert program.
